Nasi Kapau Sellers in Senen are Free from Hazardous Substances

Jakarta Small Medium Enterprise Cooperative and Trade (KUKMP) Dept. conducted sudden inspection to temporary fostered location (Loksem) JP 33 and JP 34 on Jl. Kramat Raya, Senen, Central Jakarta, on Monday (6/5) to anticipate food containing hazardous substances.

If seller is caught twice selling food contains of hazardous substances, we will cast out from this location

Jakarta KUKMP Dept. Head, Irwandi Yusuf said, his side and Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) must ensure food sold by sellers to be free from hazardous substances such as Rhodamine, Methanol, Formalin, and Methanol Yellow, by controlling routinely.

He affirmed that his side will not tolerate any sellers who caught twice selling food contains of hazardous substances.

City Targets 95 Percent of Food Product Free from Hazardous Substances

"If seller is caught twice selling food contains of hazardous substances, we will cast out from this location," he stated.

Jakarta KUKMP Dept.'s Control and Consumer Protection Division Head, Etty Syartika added, inspection is conducted to 21 food samples from 13 sellers. The tested foods are ketupat, lemper, egg martabak, sugar palm fruit, talam cake, sinjay crackers, and skin crackers.

"All samples are proven negative. Sellers will be given sticker inscribed hazardous-free food if the test result is negative," he closed.
